SolidWorks – Did you know? Delete Key

Did you know that in SolidWorks you can easily remove holes or cutouts in a surface by simply using the delete key?

Here’s how it works.
Click on any edge of the hole or cutout that you want removed, press the “delete” key on your keyboard.

A Choose Option dialog box will appear, make sure “Delete Hole(s)” is checked and click OK.

Like magic, the hole is gone and the surface is filled in.

You will notice that there is now a new feature in your tree called “DeleteHole”
